Unit 6: Implementing SIDE

The typical timeline for a behavioral science project is 8–12 weeks; it is fast! So you need to feel a sense of urgency and communicate that to others.

Here’s what that can look like:

Just because you aren’t leading the active phase, doesn’t mean you can’t be doing work. For example, researchers can start recruiting people for interviews from Day 1 (if you have an existing database for research participants that have already opted-in, it will make your life dramatically easier). Project managers can start thinking through potential pilots while the designer is still downselection. Don’t wait – move move move.
