Unit 2: Strategy and Writing Behavioral Statements

Motivation is a special form of limitation: it is the binary thing you must want to do in order to engage in the behavior.

For example, the motivation to take an Uber is to get from Point A to Point B. If you don’t have that motivation, then you are definitionally outside of the target audience of Uber in that moment. Another way to think of this is what natural need you’re meeting; it isn’t something you create, but something that is already occurring that you capitalize on.

Activity:

Using the same produce or service as the previous activities, identify the Motivation.

Why would the target audience say they use the product or service?
